BRAKE FLUID THAT SMELLS LIKE BLEACH
I got a call today from a tech working on a car that had brake fluid that smelled like bleach. He said that the owner brought the car in because the brake pedal hit the floor. So I did some research and came to the conclusion there might be some foul play a foot.
Bleach and brake fluid is a classic recipe from the anarchist cookbook, it is supposed to produce smoke, fire and an explosion. But, it does not work with regular household bleach as you can see in the video above. The type of bleach that is needed is powdered chlorine pool bleach that can be found only at pool supply stores.
When the person added the bleach to the brake fluid reservoir, they were expecting the car to blow up or burn to the ground. Instead, it just caused the diluted brake fluid to boil and fade. This case has gone from vandalism to attempted murder.

You should forward this to the mythbusters. Maybe you'd get your blog on tv!
