2,800º Brake Lube!... OK, 2,800º, fahrenheit

When I saw this on AutoCareProNews, I was like, "wow, the rotor will melt before brake lube." But, than I realized that the temperature was in Fahrenheit and converted to Celsius it was 1,538º.
It is not a bad marketing idea, I am sure all of the other brake lubricant manufacturers are changing there temps to Fahrenheit as we speak!

From AutoCareProNews:
"The new Permatex Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant delivers exceptional performance under the most extreme conditions. It features a 100% synthetic formula made with ceramic solids to deliver optimum brake parts lubrication and quiet operation. This new premium brake lube has an effective operating temperature range from -65º F to 2,800º F (-54º C to 1538º C)."

The temperature range of this product is great, but the fact that it is 100% synthetic formula is even better news. Without any "petroleum distillates" it is compatible with rubber/soft hardware pieces. In other words, it will not cause bushings and rubberized coatings on the backs of brake pads to deteriorate or swell.

I am still scratching my head about the "ceramic solids", but if it works, it works.
